OpManager
OpManager er en web-baseret overvågnings løsnings til håndtering af netværks og servere i mindre eller mellemstore virksomheder. Med OpManager sikrer du en høj tilgængelighed på dine IT ressourcer uanset om det er infrastruktur eller software installationer.
OpManager bruger en blanding af SNMP, WMI og CLI til at at hente performance og availability information fra dine vigtigste noder og aplikationer (som fx Exchange, SQL og AD) og giver dig et detaljeret billede af performance. Du kan endvidere overvåge en VMware server med detaljerne om alle hosts på denne server. Du bliver desuden advaret med alarmer hvis noget er ved at gå galt.
OpManager bidrager til at reducere nedetid og udfald ved proaktiv overvågning og intelligente alarmeringsfunktioner. OpManager hjælper med at understøtte og dokumentere IT-driften i virksomheden og kan integreres til ServiceDesk Plus helpdesksystem.

Switch and Switch Ports availability monitoring
With OpManager you can create business views (maps) to graphically visualize your entire LAN. OpManager can automatically send alerts when a link goes down. OpManager’s reporting functionality also provides you with a detailed availability report of your Switches and Switch Ports. You can use these reports to ensure that your SLAs are being met.
Port-wise Traffic Monitoring
OpManager helps you monitor and troubleshoot Switch Ports for traffic, utilization, errors and Service Level Agreement (SLA) verification. By presenting accurate information on port traffic and utilization OpManager helps you identify top talkers on the LAN.

Network administrators can set printer monitoring thresholds for interface traffic, errors etc. and be notified by email / SMS whenever abnormal usage is detected.
Monitor URLs, Virtual Hosts and Intranet
OpManager checks URLs to ensure that they are reachable and serving pages which is a more reliable way of monitoring websites, instead of depending on ICMP pings or TCP port checks on port 80. You can monitor all your public websites, as well as your web-based applications running in your Intranet for availability and health. Moreover, OpManager provides you the availability and performance trends of your website also.
SNMP Trap Support and Custom MIBS Support
Most network devices now-a-days are capable of sending out SNMP traps when a fault occurs. A good fault monitoring system should be able to support SNMP traps and provide meaningful information to the operators. OpManager does exactly that by providing support for basic SNMP traps out-of-the-box.
Operators can also add support for traps from any custom SNMP MIB. OpManager can extract useful information that is sent with SNMP traps as variable bindings. (SNMP varbinds) So if you have bought devices from different vendors, all you need to do is get access to those vendor-specific MIBS and you can easily have OpManager monitoring critical variables on that device.
Alerts and Thresholds
OpManager supports various alert mechanisms and can alert an operator when a device or service goes down. OpManager can also be configured to alert operators when a service or health check counter on a device exceeds or goes below a certain limit. Operators can specify their threshold rules for a service, application or device and can have OpManager alert them when the threshold rule is violated.

- Acknowledging Alarms
– While working on multiple alarms at the same time, Op Manager allows operators to quickly mark alarms on which they have already initiated action, much like marking emails as read or unread. Acknowledging alarms is another small but extremely useful feature for operators to keep track of new alarms and the ones that they have already been read and acted upon. - Alarm Suppression
- OpManager allows operators to suppress alarms from a device. This is especially useful when the device is brought down for scheduled maintenance or upgrades. OpManager automatically starts sending alarms after the specified period has elapsed. - Alarm Escalation Rules
- OpManager allows IT administrators and managers to set up automatic alarm escalation rules. For example, IT managers can setup an escalation rule to get a report of server alarms that are currently open for more than one hour. This report can be periodically sent to the IT manager by email.
Comprehensive Network Performance Monitoring Software – Utilization, Response times and Errors
OpManager monitors CPU, memory and disk and interface / bandwidth utilization in real-time. A rich set of graphs and Top 10 reports are provided out-of-the-box. OpManager also provides out-of-the-box graphs and reports for CPU, memory, disk and interface utilization, service response times and interface errors. Unlike other products, OpManager provides separate Top N reports for servers, switches, routers and all devices. This helps operators gain better visibility into the performance of servers, routers and switches and the overall network.

Hvilke operativsystemer kan OpManager overvåge?
OpManager overvåger Windows (via WMI) og Unix, Linux og Solaris (via CLI). OpManager har en lang række af færdige monitorer indbygget til disse OS opg du kan selv tilføje dine egne. Det er lettest at overvåge Windows for den uerfarne bruger.
Hvilke hardware producenter understøtter OpManager?
Alle producenter som understøtter SNMP kan overvåge mes OpManager. Ønsker du specielle målepunkter (OIDs) kan du tilføje en MIB fra den relevante producent og derfter måle på netop de værdier du ønsker. Til alle målepunkter kan du sætte en tærskel værdi som er udgangspunkt for en alarm.
Hvor lang tid tager OpManager at implementere?
Installationen tager ca. 10 minutter og programmet en en strålende auto-discovery funktion som gør det dent at tilføje nye noder. Det er meget vigtigt at du gør følgende før du udfører en discovery:
- SNMP credentials: Alle noder som du vil overvåge med SNMP (fx switches, routere, AP, firewalls og evt severe) skal have en SNMP communitystring defineret og denne skal være tilføjet til OpManager.
- Windows credentials: Til alle servere som du vil overvåge med WMI, skal du have et administrativt login (Windows) som du har tilføjet Opmanager.
- CLI credentials: Til alle ikke-Windows servere, skal du have et userid og et password og disse credentials skal være tilføjet OpManager
Hvilken type af virksomhed egner OpManager sig bedst til?
Den mindre og mellemstore virksomhed med op til omkring 200-250 servere, switches og routere. Kommer du væsentligt højere op i antallet af noder så anbefaler vi nogle af vores andre løsninger.
